All of our YoungGun coaches are accredited with Cricket Australia and/or the English Cricket Board and are committed to helping everyone on their cricketing journey, be that the grassroots cricketer just starting out, or the seasoned professional.

Founder of Young Gun Cricket, Shannon is regarded as one of cricket’s most modern and innovative Coaches. A deep thinker about the game, Shannon created YoungGun Cricket and has changed the way the game is coached and played within one of the world’s leading cricket training facilities.
As a Level 3 High Performance Cricket Australia accredited Coach, Shannon has a wealth of playing and coaching experience in High Performance, Premier Cricket, School cricket and local club environments and is widely respected for his passion for the game and an inherent knowledge that he shares with players he mentors at every level of the game.
Shannon has drawn on over 20 years of coaching and playing experiences from around the world to design the Young Gun Coaching philosophy, direction, high performance academies and individual sessions that are the cornerstone of long term player development and complete game understanding.
While a traditionalist at heart, Shannon has embraced the modern age of cricket and has been at the forefront of thinking outside the square when creating a hybrid approach to ensuring the basic foundations of cricket are merged with the new age of the game.

Sam joins YoungGun Cricket with a wealth of coaching credentials and experience more suited to someone well beyond his years. A coach who is committed to working at the highest level; Sam has coached all over the world, passing on his expertise to first class and international players across both the men’s and women’s game.
Sam has become renowned in many cricket circles as a passionate and fiercely team oriented coach. His philosophy of ‘understanding the person in order to coach the player’ has allowed him to build honest relationships with some of the best players in the world, as well as cricketers just starting on their journey. Regardless of the format or demands of the situation, Sam brings his adaptive coaching style and good natured personality to get the best out of anyone he works with.

A Cricket Australia accredited level 3 High Performance Coach, Chris is an exceptional character with a true love for the game and helping the next generation of cricketers.
Following a successful county career with Lancashire in the north of England Chris made the move to Melbourne where he has held premier coaching positions with Casey South Melbourne as well as Specialist roles within the Cricket Victoria pathways, Caulfield Grammar, Frankston and Kingston Hawthorn.
Chris has built a reputation not just as an incredible coach, but a personality that enhances the experience of everyone he comes in contact with.

Scott has lived the dream of most young cricketers having recently completed the journey from club cricketer to professional international player.
A unique wicket keeper batsman, he became an International player for The Netherlands making his debut against Namibia before competing against some of the best players in the world in the ICC World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe.
Experiencing a number of professional cricket environments has helped Scott develop his own coaching style which continues to evolve. He has an excellent knowledge of the modern game and uses this to empower young players to enjoy playing it.
